Kevin Breeden

Kevin Breeden is a network security analyst currently supporting the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) Network Analysis branch. Kevin's primary responsibilities are network traffic analysis through various proactive and reactive analysis techniques centered on the EINSTEIN program.  The majority of his time is spent identifying and tracking nation state APT activity, in addition to identifying and developing new analytics that can be leveraged.  Kevin often works with other branches as a subject matter expert and has contributed to multiple technical publications that have been released by US-CERT.  Prior to his time within the cyber field, Kevin was an intelligence analyst for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Counter-Terrorism and Criminal Exploitation Unit.  Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University and a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance from Capitol Technology University.
